Často kladené otázky
-
D is outer fabric density - higher means more tear-resistant. 600D basic, 1200D standard, 1680D premium (Kentucky All Weather Pro). For a horse that plays in paddock or is with others, minimum 1200D.
-
0g for rain when not cold (spring, autumn). 160g for transition (5-10C). 300g for winter below zero. If only one, choose 160g universal with option to add under rugs.
-
Standard goes halfway up neck, extended covers whole neck. For horse in paddock in heavy rain or with high mane, extended is better. Kentucky offers both.
-
Modern turnout rugs have dual-front buckles or cross. Dual-front easier to put on. Cross safer for active horses, holds better during wild runs.
-
Kentucky Tripoint has three neck attachment points - better fits neck shape, doesn't pull or interfere with grazing. Slightly more expensive but for sensitive-necked horse definitely better.
-
Standalone 300-400g Pro turnout suffices. Alternative is 200g turnout plus 200g Kentucky Skin Friendly under rug. More flexible but pricier.
-
Yes, without them rug shifts especially during horse movement. Kentucky turnouts always have 2 rear leg straps, some front reinforcements. Improper fit causes rubbing.
